Very friendly and affordable storage unit
The staff here is very friendly and the unit was one of the most affordable prices that I found in Virginia Beach. Very happy that I got a large unit for less than smaller units at other locations. Unit has a ceiling light in it which is very convenient. Multiple gates to enter and all your moving supplies are available in the office.

Good overall storage value
The pricing is reasonable. The staff were courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. The paperwork was more than expected. The unit smelled a bit from mildew and I wished I had more time or come early to disinfect it. The entry and exit were easy to maneuver and the inside lighting acceptable.

Disappointing customer service and cleanliness
I have had a unit for approximately 4 years. In past year and half there have been several new employees. The building is no longer kept clean, roaches are showing up dead and alive in hallways. Outside the buildings are not kept up. My experience is when things cosmetic go downward the more important things plummet also. After arriving on several occasions to a secure code door being left open, people blocking exits and the employees will not address time has come to move. I think the last straw was walking in the bathroom with tiolet paper all over floor and trash overflowing. I no longer feel as facility is safe, clean or secure.

Very good information, direct and to the point
Unfortunately I had a conflict with another person that rented a space at this facility, i store my vehicle at this facility and needed the other renter just to move his vehicle for a quick minute so I was able to back my car out of unit. The other renter became irate using treating language and bodily harm, i reported this information to those at the front office they took immediate action with the other individual (renter) come to find out that with his actions and words he was asked to clean out his unit and leave the grounds. It was great to see that Life Storage and it's employees have the backs of the average Joe's just trying to go from day to day without any hassls especially when all this gentleman had to do was move his truck out of the way. So two thumbs up to storage facility as well the employees that had my back, Thanks Again Chris Combies

FINALLY FOUND THE ONE
I am so pleased with life storage, I just cant even tell you the nightmares I've had with some storage places. It's just ridiculous. But life storage was so easy to move in to, the staff is so friendly and sweet, and having access up to 10pm has been a life saver! Thank you!!

Good to go. They were able to get me in quickly. Sparefoot was a bit misleading. The ad( I took a picture) said the second month is free. Life Storage told me it was 1/2 off instead.
