Great facility but could be improved in two ways.
The code to enter is way too long, and the need to enter it both for the sliding doors and the elevator slows things way down. Also the lip on the sliding door track causes objects to fall off the dolly frequently. Would love to see these elements of the otherwise GREAT experience fixed!

I like the convenience of reserving a unit online.
Once I got there, the associates were very friendly and welcoming. The unit I had initially reserved was not the appropriate size for items I wanted to store. The associate quickly remedied the situation and Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢m very happy with the unit she offered me. Thank you life storage.

Quick and easy.
I setup online then called customer service the following morning, I spoke with a delightful rep, her name is Teresa Marie and she was so helpful and directly answered all of my inquiries. I really appreciate the wonderful customer service because nowadays it is very hard to get. I look forward to doing business with them repeatedly.

Good but…
They do not tell you about hidden fees(Insurance is $15, a lock is $19 & there is a one time administration fee of $20).
The place was clean and smelled good but some of the units have stuff in front of them and they were not so busy that they couldnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t clean up.
The unit I moved my things into was dusty. Not like dirty but like light colored construction dust.
Move in hours arenﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t great because itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s mostly open during office hours 9-5 which is when people are at work. But itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s also not a great neighborhood so you probably donﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t want to be over there too late. Just wished they opened earlier.
The guys were pretty nice other than that and the place was cool. Once I noticed the push carts it made things a lot easier.
Be sure to ask if you have a top or bottom unitﾃ｢竄ｬﾂｦif itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s on top it means that you have to climb the ladder.

Moving in my storage unit on the first day was quick and easy.
I had know issues moving my belonging into my storage unit. I appreciate the care and attention the associate showed me throughout my move. The storage facility was clean and easy to get around.

Stoarage done the right way
Itﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s very rare nowadays to get exceptional customer service, but Chris is an example of that. I rented a space at the East New York location and from the very first phone call Chris demonstrated courtesy and professionalism. He answered all my questions, and even switched reservations for me in an instant. He made the entire process quick and simple. Chris exemplifies how to treat a customer. Cheap but customer service is difficult to deal with
When I tried to move my reservation date three days later than it was initially supposed to take place, I was told it was impossible.
So I cancelled and made a new reservation.
When I showed up to the facility, they had auto-cancelled my reservation, thinking it was a double-booking. They never called me to check in.
When I asked to rent a storage unit for the price that I had found online, they said it was only possible to book at that price online.
I made a new account and reserved the unit.
I was double-charged a lock fee.
Customer service was helpful in helping me use one of the lock charges towards next month's rent.

Amazing happy just wanted a closer vacant unit
Overall very very happy. Clean facility and unloading space is great. I'm only unhappy that they gave us an available unit that was furthest away from the elevator, when there were other ones vacant on the same floor and closer. Made it a bit unnecessarily harder

Easy decision
I made a reservation at cube smart and the both representatives were rude. The clerk barely spoke and clearly hated his job. So I contacted life storage because I also had a reservation there and it felt right! From the moment I spoke from the rep to the moment I received my keys! He was excellent.
