No staff is on site, and the phone number on the office door doesn't help
I visited the location hours before I would be moving in, to get my key and be shown to the unit, like I was instructed due to when I booked the space.
There was a lovely office, all the lights on, all the security screens on, & a permanent sign on the door that says "We're Open!" But the door was locked. No one was there. On the door there was also a phone number that said."call for immediate assistance." That number only takes you to a lengthy phone tree, that eventually ends up hanging up on you.
Fast-forward about 40 frustrating minutes, I finally got a human at the general Public Storage phone number, who gave me a different number to try for the manager. That did actually go somewhere, and I was told that no one is ever in that office. They haven't even moved in there yet.
All they needed to do was put a handwritten sign on the door, saying what the situation actually was and how to get some assistance.

POORLY MISINFORMED
When I went into the office and inquired about prices & sizes of storage units, I was informed that I could enter the facility at any time. When we finally packed our truck and went to put it in the unit, the facility was closed. This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. Being misinformed by the service representative, made placing my belongings into storage a nightmare from hell! Unfortunately, I had to roll with it and place my belongings into storage the next morning. I would never recommend Public Storage to anyone, especially when there are facilities that have better hours and do not misinform their prospective customers.

Too much hidden fees.
Too much hidden fees. This is my first time to rent a storage. I never know I still need to pay for insurance and lock. It doesn't show on the website when I made a reservation.

The first office I went to, there was a sign that said the manager would be back 45 min ago. The second office was open but the manager had to go find his keys. Seems there was one manager for 2 places--that isn't right.

I would like to say first of all, Amy is awesome!!! I came into office a few days ago looking into getting a storage unit for my personal items. I wasn't sure on the exact size i needed but Amy was able to help me decide on the best one that fits my needs. She took the time to ask me a few questions that helped her figured out size unit that would be suitable for me. After she narrowed it down she then searched not only her facility but two others that was close. She told me what was available and the prices of each one.
After looking at the storage units available i decided to go with a 5x10 with option to upgrade if i decided later that i needed more space. Amy made the transaction so comfortable and easy, with the no pressure attitude. She took her time to explain policy and accessories i may need to help me with the move into the units. I had an awesome experience there thanks to Amy and will be telling all my friends or any one i run across who may need to rent a storage unit.

Reasonable rate and location met my needs.
The check in staff was very thorough in explaining everything and the space was just right. However it was dirty and should have been swept before I took occupancy. Other than that, it all worked.

Public Storage is easy to sign up and convienient storage times and locations
I've had a great experience with Public Storage, this is my 2nd time using them in the past 5 years, easy to sign up, great access hours, and most important, no contracts. Would definitely recommend to others needing extra storage.
